JACK BEATS - “CARELESS (FT. TAKURA)”

At first, I didn’t know where the hell this video was going to go (I didn’t look at the thumbnail, so try not to…it’s a fun surprise!), but once it got going, I was really into it. Very clever and unusual. Released a month ago and directed by Rob+Rob.

PEPE DELUXE - “GO SUPERSONIC”

I swear, if all infomercials were like this one, I’d be broke. Pepe Deluxé released their newest music video 2 weeks for “Go Supersonic” and believe me, you’ll want to. The video is styled to be a quirky infomercial about a fictional sound system. The whole thing is soundtracked with “Go Supersonic” from their album “Queen of the Wave.” Creative director: Paul Malmstrom.

MAJOR LAZER - “GET FREE”

Please watch this video. Unlike a lot of the videos Teensy Screen features, this one is so true and beautiful. Plus the song is really  great (and features Amber Coffman.) Filmed all around Jamaica and produced by Somesuch & Co.

PLANT PLANTS - “ONE TO ADORE”

In the manner of simply visually interesting music videos, east London band Plant Plants displays their city in an unusual way to the tune of “One to Adore” from their second EP entitled EP2. Directed by Rob+Rob.

C2C - “ARCADES”

French electronic group C2C released their first album Tetra yesterday, September 3. Here’s their black and white, intensely edited and beautifully shot music video that was revealed a week ago. And if you like to dance, the song is easily jammable. Here’s what director Rémi Paoli says about it: “The creation of the visuals for the ARCADES video is based on the DJ’s musical approach. The idea was to use samples of organic images, cut them out, play with time to mix and recreate images in a geometrical way.”

KIMBRA - “TWO WAY STREET”

I’ve been obsessed with Kimbra for a while now (and yes I’m still obsessed with Somebody That I Used to Know-judge me all you want), so of course I fell in love with the “Two Way Street” video when it came out a month ago. Very fitting for Kimbra, the vid is very Alice in Wonderland, filled with lots of color, mirrors and her signature bright red lips.

From her debut album, VOWS. Directed by Matthew Rolston.

GOTYE - “EASY WAY OUT”

9 months of production went into this rotating, stop-motion animation depiction of Gotye’s boring routine of smoking weed and hanging out on the shitter. Gotye’s music videos are brilliantly quirky and can make mindless daily routines into entertainment. “Easy Way Out” is from his album Making Mirrors.

FRANK OCEAN - “THINKING ABOUT YOU”

This video is about 6 months old, but I really wanted to share it just in case you haven’t seen it. Incredibly haunting.

Directed by the High Five Collective.

CYMBALS - “CANDY BAR”

I’m not even quite sure what I just watched. But it was fascinatingly awesome. Released from their recent EP entitled Sideways, Sometimes, here is “Candy Bar”. Animated by Dan Jacobs.
